Mesa and Maple
NO. 1
Architectural Wall
Type
COMMERICAL PROJECT
Location
PHOENIX, AZ
Description
Designed for a grand 13-foot waterfront wall, this architectural installation completely redefines the media system by utilizing the room’s hand-finished ivory plaster wall as a central canvas. Built from exceptional, continuous-grain native timber, the design rejects the heavy grid of a traditional library in favor of a fluid, floating landscape. The layout masterfully balances open negative space for curated ceramics and vinyl records with flush, handle-free concealed storage for living room clutter.

NO. 2
The Mesa Trestle
Type
LUXURY RESIDENTIAL
Location
ODESSA, FL
Description
Designed specifically for an expansive waterfront dining room, this architectural table completely deconstructs the traditional separation of "top + base." From 15 feet away, it presents a quiet, incredibly sophisticated silhouette that harmonizes with a minimalist, plaster-and-linen palette. Up close, it reveals itself as a singular, unified woodworking organism. Instead of a slab sitting on top of legs, the massive solid timber top gently separates into structural members, flowing into a sweeping, low-profile trestle base that curves down to the ground like a single continuous wave.

NO. 3
Coastal Console
Type
LUXURY RESIDENTIAL
Location
LOS ANGELES, CA
Description
Designed for a warm, lived-in family room with a collected aesthetic, The Mulegé masterfully reinterprets traditional frame-and-panel carpentry into a piece that feels comfortable first and expensive second. Rather than relying on cold modern push-latches or overly ornate traditional hardware, the cabinet features an oversized, hand-carved wooden top rail that serves as an integrated, continuous finger pull—completely eliminating fingerprints while hiding the opening mechanism in plain sight. Crafted from character-rich native timbers that naturally develop a beautiful patina from everyday touch, bumps, and family life, its quiet exterior masks a deeply functional storage system.

A Quiet Return to Raw Material and Clean Form

Behind every piece is a dedicated young craftsman working directly with the raw materials of his heritage. His process is simple: respect the wood, honor traditional joinery, and let the native grain speak for itself.
